Become an ECO Installer

If you are a local tradesperson or contractor, read on for guidance and information on how links to ECO could benefit your business.

The ECO scheme is a great opportunity for contractors and installers to tap into the expanding energy efficiency market. The programme's success will depend on competent, qualified installers able to produce high standards of workmanship and customer service. As the scheme focuses on a 'whole house' approach to improvements, multi-skilled tradespeople competent in several technologies will become a highly desirable part of the workforce.

Training and Apprenticeships

As part of the UK Governments energy initiative Eastleigh College, Highbury College and Southampton City College have joined forces to provide a wide array of Green Technology training courses, as well as tailored Apprenticeship modules which will help to future-proof your skills in environmental technologies.

The partnership between the Colleges will give local tradespeople the skills and knowledge to excel in this developing area, as well as give you the qualifications to be an Approved installer. From basic PAS 2030 Core Training to more specific training, such as loft insulation and customer service, we have a course to suit you.
